Has anyone seen Barkha cover anything to with frontline army action since Kargil??? No chance … she’s persona non-a-grata with the defence services after Kargil … even within NDTV she’s reviled by almost everyone … looked at more like an evil & conceited soprano - and I know several journos personally … god save us from the likes of her

yes Barkha Dutt has shown similar callous attitude in the past during Gujarat riot-2002 & baroda bombings by inciting people with her comments & selecive coverage

These are not ‘news’ channels, they are 24×7 opinion distribution channels. They call themselves as the fourth pillar of democracy and behaving worse than politicians in the ethics side!. Only aim is to make money for their channel with sleazy and unverified news and getting away under the fourth pillar excuse.

Friends,

I had to make this point… Initially I thought I was the only one feeling that way but now it seems that the feeling is pretty universal…

Can someone convey our feelings to a responsible journalist so that this can be raised in one of their forums and solved there before it gets to censorship… I think this has gone beyond the funny… I personally hate censorship of any sort being applied on the media… but if things continue this way the politicians will catch this public sentiment and enforce censorship on the media knowing well that public opinion will not go against it… that in turn will help politicians to happily do their thing without having to fear the media…

Another related point that I would like to bring up, I have watched 3 movies directed by former Commando Major Ravi… in all 3 movies he has characters of Female journos who cause problems during commando operations… In his Latest flick Kurukshetra (based on the Kargil war) he uses a name Ms.DUTT and explains about loosing 4 jawans in Kargil because she clicked photographs in the night giving away their positions… The Mumbai tragedy only helped reinforce this fact….

This sort of non-sense has to stop…
Nothing better than using NDTV’s own slogan ENOUGH IS ENOUGH….

I couldn’t stop myself from writing this email to various News channels. Wonder how much it’s cared for. But hope it brings some difference to their attitude towards this.

Dear NDTV,

This in regards to the coverage of the recent Mumbai Attacks and the aftermath. As expected, you and other media is receiving bouquets as well as brickbats. The whole purpose of criticism is not to let you down, but to avoid committing new set of mistakes. So request you to take it in right spirit and restrain yourself while reporting the action being taken by the Government. (agreed that prudent reporting does keep the Government on its toes). Please show patience while covering High level security meetings. It’s not the minutes of those meetings but the results of those that matters in long run & help getting a solution. I hope your report should not send them alerts or worse still be the brief for their next project. So please avoid leakage in the highly confidential data. And help your bit in this fight. We are all citizens first.

I feel that NDTV and Barkha are the most hippocratic elements in Media. I hate Barkha to the core and ready to challenge her at any time. I had been waiting for an opportunity to voice out. Guys, the media things they are some gods and play spoilsport often in case of terorism or crisis. Barkha has a business of poking other journalists but least bothered that she is soiling the chair she sits on (apologies for this kanguage). Those who watch NDTV regularly and in an unbiased and non-emotional manner will undersdtand that BARKHA IS THE MOST ARTIFICIALLY EMOTIONAL ARTIST in the Indian Media. Anyone with any objections and evidence can mail me at g_sirishk3@yahoo.com. Please guys, oversome personal bias and have guts to speak of this lady and her channel (if anyone wants the evidence of my claims, pls let me know).
