Ultrafast wireless

Terahertz waves (or T-rays) — located on the electromagnetic spectrum between infrared and microwaves — are the future of not only ultrafast (short range) wireless communication, but also a safer alternative to X-rays, says Technology Review.

Update: Personally, I think T-rays used as a latter application would touch our lives in a much beneficial way than the former one. Usage of X-rays is akin to using Nitrous oxide as an anesthetic, for lack of alternatives. If you read this blog, then you must have read my gripe about X-rays.

Too early to say, I would say. We are yet to see the effects of modern electromagnetic waves. Many generations will be the beneficiaries or will pay the price.

    That said, T-rays looks promissing.
