Trains every 15 minutes again

NS tells me I will once again1 have the luxury of direct trains at 15-minutes’ frequency between home and office, September 8 onwards.

This is just nice, as school holidays come to an end, and when car-keys will need to be handed over to Sneha for the rest of the season.

  1. During Summer, NS drops the frequency of direct trains to every half hour—supposedly—to cut down energy and encourage people—presumably—to enjoy Summer by making them take longer routes to offices and back instead. I can’t describe the inconvenience this imposes upon those who really think they can do something about global warming by not burning fossil fuel. []
