Textpattern, another go
I’ve got another confession to make, I’m your fool..
When I said I couldn’t get Textpattern working for me back in July last year, I was telling you the truth. But there was something wrong in that picture. I wasn’t using the standard LAMP framework. WordPress worked inspite of it is the reason I’m as hardcore of a fan as you can get.
But those conclusions of mine on a Windows platform shouldn’t necessarily be seen in a bad context (atleast I hope). In fact, if you use the right environment (Apache), Textpattern does more than hold its own.
I realized that after I started rocking the cradle. So, I took Textpattern for another spin for an intranet project of mine. I now have the sheer joy of unleashing Textpattern as an intranet CMS. There was one pseudo-problem: the default setup was trying to ping rpc.textpattern.com and the firewall was blocking it, and all this was slowing down my posting. I turned that off and Textpattern now blazes away at unbelievable speeds.
I’ve got another confession my friend, I’m no fool
My head is giving me life or death, but I can’t choose
I swear I’ll never give in, I refuse
I’m getting tired of starting again, Somewhere new
Were you born to resist or be abused
I swear I’ll never give in, I refuse.

txp rocks..I have also started digging it and developed one site using txp also..its damn good…
If txp can add subsection feature then it can be real cool…I have requested for that feature in their forums..lets hope they add it soon
