RSS takes away the soul

Sun, 11 Sep 2005 at 06:41 • Chyetanya Kunte • Filed under Quotes

I’ve tried to use RSS but I find that I like to read a blog in its surroundings, in its context, even if that context is a Blogger template. The design of the site (or even the choice of template) gives something to the voice of the blog, and I don’t like that RSS takes that away.

I connect.

Somewhere deep inside, the appreciativeness in me, keeps screaming about this. Sometimes, the heart forces the brain to backoff.

Let me also be the one to connect on this. I tried a couple of readers when I was first introduced to RSS but then slowly I moved to My Yahoo! which although tracks the blog updates yet let’s you read the posts in their own blog environments. It’s true when Heather mentions that reading a blog within their template says a lot more.
