Now running WordPress 2.0.1

Wed, 1 Feb 2006 at 16:51 • Filed under Weblog

I just completed upgrading to WordPress. Smooth as it has been ever since version 1.2. All primary view zones are visible. Everything that I normally use is working. So, I guess it’s safe to say it’s a successful upgrade. Still, if you find anything broken, do let me know.

you’ve upgraded it to 2.0.1? May I know whether or not we can save the page as draft? (by default we only can save post as draft)

If you’re talking about the page and not post (as in blog post), you can’t. The page will be published when you create it.

Saving post as default is good so that you don’t accidentally publish an incomplete post (Notice that Save (and not Publish) button is in bold. You can still override it by hitting the Publish button. But, I’m sure you know that already.

uhm ok, thank. I am still thinking whether or not i want to upgrade. I need to read few reviews before upgrading because I’m a bit afraid.

Holding back for a while is a good and sensible idea, especially when there’s no immediate problem with the system you’re running. You could wait for a week, lookup Wordpress.org > Support and then decide to upgrade if you don’t see serious problems there.
