My mom’s garden
If you don’t think of the once-in-a-long time calamities like this year’s incessant rainfall on the Indian west coast, and the whole lot of trouble it caused, monsoons are generally enjoyed. Plants, trees and fields come alive looking lush green dripping with rain droplets and flowers blossom.
To the apartment living and a couple-of-potted-plants for-the-heck-of-it kind, it’s a treat (at least to my eyes). My mother has been interested in gardening and tending plants for a long time now. And it shows.
Like on a very clear (dial-up internet connection) day today, I could upload some of the pictures that I took of my mother’s garden. From the creeper that clings to the wall, the potted plants that find some love every year with a change of soil (together with a proper proportion of soil, sand and some minerals), to the lawn that gets its tending, the garden comes alive in my mom’s personal care.
