License to drive
I got my (Dutch) driver’s license today.
I surrendered my Malaysian driver’s license to Dutch authorities, in exchange, to obtain this. No tests—just some documentation, a medical check-up, and then some waiting before a letter arrived—from the Motor vehicle department—that read it’s time to open those corks.
The license now allows me to drive (or ride) anywhere within the EU. Now, I no longer have to look up on the internet—when I am going places—to see if they recognize either an Indian or a Malaysian driver’s license. That’s a privilege underestimated.

hey great.. cool that you can drive without restriction. but I am not so lucky. i have an indian license in germany (which is valid for 6 months), but I am not sure whether it is valid throughout the EU. Do you have any idea about this? or where I can get this info?? would be of great help.. please mail me at the id i have provided.. Danke Schön!

I see no problem in your case if you’re visiting places. If you intend to stay longer than 6 months in any place, then you’d need to get a local (EU) driver’s license.
