Keukenhof

I must admit that I am not really fond of flowers, or flower shows. Japanese gardens are an exception though. But even there, it is actually the setting, the bonsai, and the fine balance of water body that elate my senses. So, Keukenhof wasn’t something I was looking particularly forward to, but tagged along with the rest of us.

Keukenhof, or kitchen garden when translated literally, is like a breath of fresh air. Open only three months a year, it showcases some of the rarest tulips this world gets to see.

We paid a visit last week, and we were not disappointed. Today is the last day for the rest of 2008.
