India Today’s cover brought us to our knees

We’re lucky that we get to read Indian news periodicals here. We (my wife and I) religiously read India Today. One look at this week’s cover dried our throats, brought our hearts to our mouths. I cannot begin to imagine the trauma that people must be facing over their loved ones that died in this disaster.

One of the reason I volunteered for Tsunami Help was that I wanted to contribute somehow to those lesser mortals that have suffered immensely, in addition to a mere monetary donation. Inspite of an over-worked day job that I have, I have been spending all my evenings and late nights consolidating useful info to those in need of information in finding their loved and lost ones, relief info, health info and genuine places for donation. A small amount of satisfaction to my soul in realizing that I did do something in times of crisis and agony in someone else’s life.
