How I use MT
Since I happened to trackback on a previous post of Mena’s, I’m going to be indirectly answering her quest for a real world personal use of MT setups.
I have one website, two sub-domains. MT is installed on the main site. I have one blog on this sub-domain and one auther for over a year now. I have plans to convert the static pages of my wife’s sub-domain and the main static pages to be powered by MT. But, apparently, it’s still not very clear whether support accross sub-domains of MT is allowed in the new version (3.0) and considered as one blog (Explaination: www.ckunte.com/chetan/ and ckunte.com although are same technically, they differ in their URL). My blog sub-domain already has a few static pages like About, which is actually another blog containing less frequently updated posts, but resides within the sub-domain. I also have plans to add a couple of more users to my existing setup raising the number of authors to a total of about 3-4.
Hope this trackback helps SixApart in getting their things, priorities right and addresses genuine concerns of MT users willing to upgrade provided the costs are not too prohibitive and, at the same time are not feature blocked.
