Gateway

I am a poor organizer by nature. My work relies on reference material. Lots of it. So, to organize the stuff I had, and to make’em available at my finger-tips, I started working on something that I called Upstream about two years ago.

Upstream

Upstream gave way to a more generalized term Gateway and found an instant acceptance in the company that I work for. Until then, it was a personal project running on my office desk (It’s now hosted on one of our powerful department servers). I even have a cost code for it. Gateway is a very industry specific and discipline specific portal. While building the search index, I’ve gone to the extent of thinking like the way normal structural engineers do and I believe it reflects on search results. Still at 0.4, Gateway kicks some serious ass.

I would like to believe that working on Gateway brought the best in me in-terms of organizational skills, web-design skills and in increasing work efficiency.

Gateway Main

Gateway is powered exclusively by open-source software.
