Films we’ve been viewing recently
In the last couple of months, we have been on movie watching spree, thanks to our new rental subscription. These are the ones we saw in recent times.
- With Omkara, adaptation, I think, got a whole new meaning; brilliant. I haven’t read Shakespeare’s Othello, but after this I can imagine what it must have been like.
- Salaam e Ishq, Namastey London, Kabul Express, Eklavya, Hattrick, and Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd were okay.
- Missing and Ladder 49 weren’t bad either. We slept through V for vendetta though.
- I didn’t much enjoy Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. Whereas Water was an amazing film — must watch.
- Guru and Corporate were some of the better films. Corporate got the attention of IIMA, which is inducting some lessons from the movie in their curriculum. That’s nice. I wish they’d consider lessons from Wall Street too. (Like this one — “Stop going for the easy buck and start producing something with your life. Create, instead of living off the buying and selling of others.”)

After a long time I had a long session on the net. Just trying to make myself more systematic by using some tools on the business websites. Suddenly remembered u and visited ur website. this movie blog made me smile as I still have the knack of viewing the pirated movies which are more cheaper in Jakarta1 2 ringgits only.
BTW life in Jakarta is not as bad as I thought. Mamta is only happy for the fact that I have very less friends here and my phone does not ring!
I have to call u soon..its been years it feels. Finally I have a webcam now and will install soon. Manish has also been pressing for the same. I do have ot create a yahoo ID!
Let me write u a mail in this week.
Namaskar to Sneha and love to kids.

If you liked omkara - you might like makadi(a better children film than krish), maqbool. Vishal B is underrated director and technician and musician(maachis).
