Feed stats
My software tells me that I have about 1633 readers reading my feed. Give or take a couple of 100s. Un-believable!
Update: It appears to me that I have a lot of non-blogger readers, because I have virtually zero in-bound links (Technorati) and my pagerank dropped a notch from 6 to 5 following the change. There’s no other way I could explain this huge readership (atleast huge to me).
Suscribing is one thing - reading the feed another. I wonder if feedburner decrements it’s counter each time someone removes the feed from their feedreader — I suspect not, since how would it know, really. Each time someone adds it, though, it will certainly know. So maybe the number is the cumulative number of feed-adds.
Oct 5, 05 at 16:18one thing to bear in mind is that Technorati appears to have trouble measuring dynamically inserted links. so my link to you, for example, comes from a del.icio.us link inserted a while back, when your appearance in my Bloglines maintained blogroll is apparently not measured.
trust the 1633, and don’t sweat what technorati says
Oct 5, 05 at 17:36Hi Stephen - good to see you here. Yes, you’re right, Technorati isn’t getting the numbers correct (in my case no numbers at all :))
