Feed is your backup

Yesterday, I learnt a valuable lesson. About how your feed can sometimes be your only available backup.

It is not a perfect method—for that matter—it’s not even a method. Think of it as feed cache. But to have this cache, there needs to be at least one person who should have subscribed to your feed in order to tap this (I suppose; I don’t know if Google Reader automatically indexes all available feeds on the web).

If your feed is being served on Google Reader, then, be assured that it’s there. Based on this comment, I tried my comment URI in Google Reader’s search form, and I could see them all.

I thought it’s worth sharing about this possibility, in case you’re up against the wall or something. You may still have to import (copy, paste) manually, but at least, it is there.
