The airport is stunning and The Palm is breathtaking, but there’s something about Dubai that fails to sink in to me. Possibly the effect of watching too many Indian films. They portray Dubai as a poor man’s Al–Andalus. Almost everyone who has hit the rock bottom dreams of going to Dubai to make it big.
