Damn, That phone
I am so much used to the process of downloading pictures from our Canon A80 that I forgot how different it is with my cellphone.
I plugged it the usual USB way and let the import wizard take over. Half way through the process, it started importing my mp3 music too. So, I pressed Cancel. I thought pressing Cancel would just stop the process of mp3 import then-onwards. What was I thinking? (I really don’t get why the import wizard tries to pull my music files?)
I went ahead and emptied the pictures folder from my W800i, only to discover that that “Cancel” had dumped the entire import. I feel like shit, not to mention my better half in hues of blues. Most pictures on it were taken by her.
I am the geek in the house. I am supposed to know and not forget how everything works. This stupid mistake is not acceptable! I’m telling you, it’s not a good position to be in. That said, I really miss those pictures too, they were some wonderful ones on the lawn, kids posing, et al. Damn!

What OS were you importing it on.. You could always try and recover the data using some disk forensic tool or create image of your cell phone memory
