Cup and plate

Aaryana: Dadda, why do boys get the cup and girls get the plate?

Me: (I look at my wife and she is equally stumped) I rationale: Probably because they thought boys like the cup and girls the plate.

Aaryana: No! Girls also would like the cup!

Wimbledon, are you listening? Your bias is obvious even to a six year old. How about a cup for the ladies also, please?

Personally, I have always liked the plate…something different from the other tournaments and looks really grand.

Patrix: Ah, but we cannot speak for the “girls”. And they seem to wish for a cup (looks more like a real prize than a consolation). My daughter’s words not mine :).

That’s a strong comment coming from a six-year old. I am amazed at what kids can say these days.
