Blogsome, the wonderful WordPress host

For those who want to use WordPress for their blogs without its geekiness attached and without having to worry about buying a domain or a hosting solution, look no further than Blogsome.

Blogsome is a managed free service that runs the latest WordPress version to power your blog. It comes with a built-in set of plugins that the team considers essential in protecting you from spam, in addition to functionality. It has a selected set of templates to choose from for the appearence and functionality of your blog. I was thrilled when Nick asked me if he could include my theme as part of the offer on Blogsome. That was a definite yes! The only possible limitation is the inability to host your choice of widely available plugins, but then you didn’t want the geekiness part, right?

A couple of reviews if you like are here and here, plus an acknowledgement from the lead developer of WordPress.

For those who want a paid solution, there are many, but Livingdot looks good and the price looks alright on Start solution. There’s also a hosting list officially endorsed on WordPress.org.

Go ahead, be a WordPresser.
