Bintang
Normally, I never discuss my work here. However, this one exception is a bit special to me. This (in the picture) is one of the platforms I have had the privilege to design right from its conceptual stage.
Standing above 55.0m water depth on the sea bed in the middle of South china sea, it is a tripod. It has an aluminum helideck pancake, and can withstand the heaviest Russian helicopter, Sikorsky. This unmanned gas platform offshore South China Sea got commissioned and went into operation early this year.
We had finished our engineering work by mid of 2001 and it went into construction and installation stage for the next 18 months. In Malay, Bintang means: A star. (Bintang A and its twin B are owned by Malaysia’s National oil company: Petronas and operated by ExxonMobil.)
hiya …followed thru from Maddie’s blog ..some achievement this ..the platform …kudos ! ..about the radio bit a couple of posts below …mumbai now has 6 (or more) radio channels ..all hotly competing the airwaves ..playing excellent music ..with some stalwart RJ’s like Hrishi K (remember him ?) ..pretty hot stuff since a couple of years almost now …

and no, the problem with my stats is weirder than what it seems.. the best part is that I haven’t set *any* timezone..still at times it does show me expected results .. like max hits from India..but mebbe that was all by chance..
