Bike dressing

This weekend, we went shopping for a bike. For Aaryana. But, even after much browsing for a “girlie” bike, we couldn’t find one (You know the type). Every one of them had big fat tyres, big bold stickers, heavy bars et al: the typical boyish muscle bike.

We did find one that was good as a bike: good wheels, good brakes, comfy saddle and those learner’s side-wheel attachments, but the girlie look still eluded us. We brought it home. While Aaryana went to play with her friends this evening, Sneha and I decided to pimp her ride =).

Butterfly

Sneha had bought a couple of Barbie reflectors for the spokes. We put those on. We then replaced the front default sticker with a gorgeous butterfly logo. Then came off the main bar sticker to be replaced with Hello kitty stamp sized decor. Princess Barbie’s name plate sticker went on the main roll bar. When we finally took a step back, this is how it looked.

First Bike

The kiddo is loving it.
