Back to being a consumer
As the number of weblogs—I want to read—are beginning to grow-up on me, I am becoming a consumer yet again. This time of content generated by blogs. As much as I would like to discuss and comment on various interesting posts on a variety of subjects I am interested in, there is only so much time in a day to being an active participant.
So, the only commenting I am able to—these days—is making a mental note as I read through posts. My left-brain begins to tag them as:
- Brilliant or interesting or something new.
- I’ve read this before somewhere.
- What the hell is she or he talking about?
- Oh crap, how pompous or elementary or stupid or new-word-whore can the post get just for cool-factor attention?
- I need to dump this feed.
So where do my blogs lie on your scale?

Mar 16, 06 at 13:10So true. It’s funny how there are so many of them out there now, it’s nearly impossible to keep up. The weirdest part, and the reason Tobyjoe and i started Self-Portrait Day, is that you kinda get wrapped up in this little loop and forget there are millions of other sites out there you might find interesting or a breath of fresh air when you’re annoyed by your usual dish.
You know what I mean?
It’s so vast. And on some days I forget that.
